Nub Gon Paljor Ling monastery (NUB GON MONASTERY ) in Gonjo in the west of Kham province in Tibet.

Nub Gon Monastery is one of 200 branches of the original Khampagar monastery and was built in the 17th century. Ancient Tibetan scriptures revealed that Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) meditated for full three days and nights in a special cave situated in Gonjo, near to Nub Gon Paljor Ling which flourished during the spread of the Drukpa Lineage under the guidance of the First Khamtrul Rinpoche Ngawang Tenphel.

Poppa Rabjam Rinpoche is one of the three Rinpoches of Nub Gon Monastery. In 1965 at the age of eight, Poppa Rabjam Rinpoche became a monk in Khamtrul Rinpoche’s monastery in Tashi Jong.
He was later recognized by H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as the reincarnation of one of the three Rinpoches at Nub Gon Paljor Ling monastery.

Nub Gon monastery was severely damaged during the Cultural Revolution and it is Popa Rabjam Rinpoche’s sincerest intention to return it to its former state.
So as to facilitate this and many other charitable projects,
he initiated the incense-making project in Tashi Jong and formed a charitable organization named Friends of Nub Gon Monastery under the auspices of Togden Amtin.

Popa Rabjam Rinpoche's wishes the proceeds from these activities to be used towards other projects benefiting the Tashi Jong community.

Friends of Nub Gon Monastery the organization aims at
• Providing scholarship / study opportunities to local as well as Tibetan youth.
• To set up an old age center as per the need assessment
• Set up a retreat center for the sincere practitioners coming regularly to the Monastery and the laypersons in the village (from both communities)
• Commence the project of Ecological Development in tandem with the forest department
• Initiate a Waste Disposal System that could be cost effective and productive
• Incense marketing etc...

The organization currently building a free school, Nub Gon Monastery in Tibet and Yogi Amtrin”s Shrine.

Presently the organization doesn’t have any funding but slow and steadily Ven. Popa Rabjam Rinpoche putting pieces together to achieve the aims of the organization with the help of volunteers, interested individuals and under the blessing of H.H. Khamtrul Rinpoche, H.E. Dorzong Rinpoche, H.E. Choegyol Rinpoche and Late Ven. Togden Amtrin and also proceeds from the sale of Lama Chodpa Incense.
